Are you a runner? Are you a potential runner in need of a good reason and the necessary motivation to take up the challenge? There is now a very good reason.

The Motor Neurone Disease Association has again been selected as one of the chosen charities to benefit from the 2010 Sheffield Half Marathon and we want to get as many people as we can to run with us.

This is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of MND in our region and hopefully raise lots of money for people in South Yorkshire living with MND.

We can help with information and advice about starting your training schedule if you are new to running and help to keep you motivated over the coming months.

Runners must be 17 or over on the race day, entry fee £20 if you apply before April. 2010 (£2.00 reduction for UKA club members). Finishers all receive a medal and a T shirt and all entrants running for the Association will receive an MND T shirt or running vest to wear for the event.

If a half marathon is not a realistic goal what about the Fun Run? Like the Half Marathon the 3K Fun Run starts and ends at the Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield, is open to all ages and is accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs making it a real family event. .Entrance fee £5.00. Certificates for all entrants.
